Objective of the role: We are seeking a dedicated Infectious Disease Researcher to join our dynamic team at Airfinity. This pivotal role involves generating insights and intelligence for our clients on various aspects of infectious diseases. The successful candidate will carry out in-depth research and analysis across various therapy areas, resulting in the creation of comprehensive weekly intelligence reports and enhancing our infectious disease platform offering

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with senior team members to produce detailed weekly intelligence reports on infectious diseases for clients.

• Develop expertise in infectious diseases, epidemiology, and countermeasures.

• Communicate effectively with clients as an infectious disease expert.

• Conduct thorough research and analysis on emerging scientific developments in various therapy areas.

• Annotate and enhance scientific information with critical data points and impact metrics.

• Utilize data visualization tools to present analyses clearly and effectively.

• Deliver powerful insights through well-crafted reports.

• Gain proficiency with our proprietary life science database.

• Annotate media, scientific papers, and clinical trials as they enter the database.

• Maintain accurate databases by cross-checking against a wide range of sources.

• Identify and incorporate new data sources into the database.

• Monitor and track candidate and disease landscapes.

• Perform bespoke research tasks in specific scientific areas with confidence and excellence.

• Understand the conference landscape and how to annotate relevant data.

• Present research findings and insights clearly and effectively to internal and external stakeholders.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Postgraduate degree in a scientific field focusing on epidemiology, infectious diseases, or drug development, or equivalent experience.

• Expertise and a strong interest in scientific research and infectious diseases.

• Experience in data visualization and storytelling, including building dashboards and reports.

• Proficiency in MS Office; experience with R, SQL, Python, or equivalent tools is beneficial.

• Ability to deliver high-quality outputs efficiently.

• Excellent attention to detail.

• Strong presentation skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
